It’s a low-lather cream. It cleanses very well without stripping. And this is important where I now live: between hard water, chlorinated pool days, and constant AC, my skin barrier needs all the help it can get.
I love the scent. It doesn’t shout. It is soft, nutty, and unisex, the kind of scent people lean into when they hug you. It sets the base for the rest of my signature scent.

It’s always a good idea to continue with a body scrub, and I’m so proud I found this one.
Dr. Noor Rose Body Scrub is a Made in UAE hero, blended with real Damask rose petals, sugar, herbs, coconut oil, and rose essential oil. I wrote about it in more detail here.
The scent is roses after rain: green, a little earthy, faintly sweet, nothing like the synthetic rose that usually comes to mind. It polishes off dead skin, wakes up circulation, and leaves a rose note on my skin before I’ve even moisturized.

The Elemis Frangipani Monoi Body Cream is an award-winning British classic, and it’s my shortcut to an island-spa feeling right after I towel off.
It’s rich but never greasy, and it melts on my sun-warmed skin like warm butter. This body cream is my passport to an island spa moment. It’s lush, exotic, and subtly seductive. This formula brings out the best of Frangipani and the Monoi oil’s scent.
It’s a beautifully British-born product with global cult status. Elemis is proudly cruelty-free, leaning into wellness-infused beauty.
This cream honestly smells better than several niche perfumes I’ve paid three times as much for. It also costs less per use; a little goes a long way, so the tube lasts me the better part of a year. I’ll admit I also steal it as a hand cream before a dinner out. The frangipani reads expensive without announcing itself.

Signature Scent 4: OUAI Hair & Body Mist St. Barts
The last layer. OUAI Hair & Body Mist in St. Barts goes over everything, to tie the notes together: orange blossom, dragon fruit, tuberose, musk, and Baltic amber. It smells expensive and modern without ever tipping into loud.
Created by celebrity stylist Jen Atkin, the mist is alcohol-free and multi-purpose, so I spritz it on hair, skin, and sometimes a shirt collar. Alcohol-free matters in the UAE, where the usual perfume base leaves hair and skin parched. This one doesn’t.
Best of all, it doesn’t fight my base layers. It lifts the frangipani and rose already on my skin instead of covering them, which is exactly what a top note should do. It’s vegan and cruelty-free.
I keep a bottle in my bag for the midday reset: a spritz through the ends of my hair once the humidity has had its way, and I’m presentable again. It’s the closest thing I’ve found to a signature scent you can top up on the go without setting off everyone in the lift.
